For use on NANO-X Jacketed Boilers from 150L up to 450L
The IECEx Rated elements supplied by Cheeky Peak Brewery, in this listing and others, are specific to NANO-X Jacketed Boilers only and they are designed to suit 150L up to 450L boiler sizes.
IMPORTANT: Please email info@cheekypeakbrewery.com if you wish to order one of these elements for a distilling boiler from another supplier. Prior to order we require specification details from you as these elements have a number of specifications. Additionally, available are single phase and 3 phase elements from 2KW to 16KW in size. Price will vary per size.
IECEx, Zone 1 rated Elements. These elements are explosion proof rated for use in Australia in all Distilleries. The immersion heaters are 2″ Tri Clamp ferrule built-in for easy installation. These are required when your distilling area has been classified as a Zone 1 or Zone 2 Hazardous Area.
The certification requires that a temperature cut off system is in place where non jacketed boilers are used. However, if you are using our NANO-X jacketed boilers (150L up to 450L) then you save the extra cost of installing a temperature cut off system as it is not required.
Elements come not wired as they must be wired on site by an electrician with hazardous area training. Please note that only IECEx certified equipment is allowed in hazardous areas in Australia. The requirements for IECEx certification is hard to get so the price of certified equipment is always much higher than standard equipment.
Most Distilleries will be assessed under AS60079.10.1 as Zone 1 or Zone 2 hazardous area and any electrical equipment in the zone boundary will be required to have an IECEx certification.
