Pro Series Mash Tuns
All Mash Tuns now come with free upgrade to Quick Seal 3 piece ball valve set
From the images shown of the Mush Tuns the most noticeable difference is the double ended/double inlet sparge arm at the top of the Mash Tun. The double inlet sparge arm allows for the HLT and the Mash Tun re-circulation system to both be connected to the Mash Tun at the same time, on one side of the double inlet you can connect the HLT and on the other you can connect your re-circulation inlet or where wort is to return back into your Mash Tun, once it has been taken out and through a RIMS or HERMS system. Once the HLT and re-circulation system has been connected the flow from each can be controlled or stopped by each of the 304SS 2 Piece Full Bore Ball Valve supplied on each side of the double inlet. Fitting the double inlet sparge arm with Ball Valves on either side allows the brewer to slow or completely shut off the water flow from the HLT and into the Mash Tun and then start and control, or shut off, re-circulation once you have mashed your grain into the Mash Tun.
The double inlet feature to the sparge arm is unique and is extremely well supported by the use of the Blichmann AutoSparge. The Blichmann AutoSparge works on a float device and will cut the water flow to the Mash Tun if the level gets too high within it, this is especially useful when doing the double function of sparging whilst at the same time transferring wort from the Mash Tun to the Boiler Kettle.
Another redeeming feature of our Pro Series Mash Tuns is the new 304SS False bottoms we have designed especially for them, we call them the Grain Stopper. The Grain Stopper does not let any grain pass through to your pump, grain passing through your pump can block it and stop the pump from working and then the brewer has all sorts of problems and mess. For further info on the Grain Stopper just go to the product listing on our website.
If you find the Pro Series short on other parts like Camlock or Quick Connect fittings we are happy to change your purchase to include those and minus the cost of the barbs that come standard. We are also happy to swap the false bottoms for less expensive options or change any 2 Peice Ball Valves to 3 Piece Ball Valves where required, just email us. Like all our brewing equipment we are happy to custom build your Mash Tun and if the Pro Series is not perfect for you we hope it gives you ideas for your perfect Mash Tun.
