500L Mash Tun (MT) & 550L Boiler Kettle (BK)

Introducing the first model in our new range of premium water, oil, or steam-jacketed 2-vessel (2V) brewing systems. Designed for professional breweries and distilleries, this system delivers exceptional thermal performance, operational flexibility, and brewing efficiency in a robust, commercial-grade package.

500L Mash Tun (MT) – Key Features

• Constructed entirely from premium 304 stainless steel.
• Dished outer jacket base with a 1.5″ Tri-Clamp dump port.
• Dished inner tank base with a 2″ Tri-Clamp dump port.
• Heavy-duty 1.5mm 304 stainless steel false bottom featuring precision laser-cut slots for excellent wort flow.
• Reinforced support ring system beneath the false bottom provides superior strength for large grain bills.
• Hinged false bottom with integrated drop-down handle, allowing easy installation and removal through the grain door.
• Large 430 × 330mm grain door, fully welded to the inner vessel for strength and durability.
• Supplied with a 304 stainless steel grain slide for fast and efficient spent grain removal after mashing.

500L Boiler Kettle (BK) – Key Features

• Constructed entirely from premium 304 stainless steel.
• Outer jacket with a 1.5″ Tri-Clamp dump port.
• Dished inner tank base with a 2″ Tri-Clamp dump port.
• 12″ Tri clover top of boiler port This port can also easily be used to add a still if you required a brewery with the ability to produce distilled beverages

MT Jacket Heating

• Four 2″ element ports located on the lower rear section of the outer jacket.
• Heating elements are installed within the water or oil jacket, ensuring they never come into direct contact with the mash.
• Supplied with:
  • 1 × 5.5kW (5500W), 230–240V, 25A heating element
  • 1 × 3.2kW (3200W), 230–240V, 15A heating element
• This configuration is ideal for maintaining precise mash temperatures.
• For rapid step mashing, two additional 5.5kW heating elements can be installed (available separately)

BK Jacket Heating

• Four 2″ element ports located on the lower rear section of the outer jacket.
• Heating elements are installed within the water or oil jacket, ensuring they never come into direct contact with wort during boil period.
• Supplied with:
  • 4 × 5.5kW (5500W), 230–240V, 25A heating element
• This configuration is enable to achieve 1 degree per minute during heating

Integrated HERMS System

The mash tun features a fully integrated 304 stainless steel HERMS (Heat Exchange Recirculating Mash System) coil, positioned within the outer jacket.

The HERMS coil provides several advantages:

• Maintains precise mash temperatures during wort recirculation.
• Improves wort clarification throughout the mash process.
• Can also be used to cool wort after boiling when preparing for whirlpool hop additions.

For faster knockout and transfer to fermentation, we recommend pairing the system with a gasketed plate wort chiller (sold separately).

Rake Agitation System

Unlike our smaller systems that utilise paddle agitators, the 500L Mash Tun is equipped with a full 304 stainless steel rake-style agitator.

The rake design provides:

• Improved grain bed management.
• More efficient mash mixing.
• Reduced risk of compaction during re-circulation.
• Enhanced lautering performance for larger grain bills.

Included Accessories

• Hard plumbing kit for the 2v system, including outer jacket filling connections and water/oil level sight glass fitting for both MT and BK.
• Stainless steel grain funnel for easy mash-in.
• Large 3.5″ sight glass for monitoring grain bed activity and boil activity throughout the brewing process.
