1/2″ Bspp Male to Female New Bulk Head Fitting
Our all new bulk head adapter is a cracker. It is made from 304 stainless steel (same as all other included fittings), 1/2″ male threaded on one end (to suit the ball valve 1/2″ female inlet), a large ledge/flange in the middle with an o-ring recces (to house and press against the internal o-ring) and a 1/2″ internal threaded tube on the other end, which faces the inside of the pot. The internal 1/2″ threaded tube faces the inside of a vessel allowing the brewer to screw in a Bazooka screen, 1/2″ barb fitting to link a domed false bottom to your outlet valve, a kettle diverter or a street elbow to act as a pick up tube or a whirlpool kit for Whirlpool of your wort.
The bulk head fitting seals the kettle on the inside and the outside. Ensure you place the kettle wall between the 2 o-rings supplied with the adapter, the larger white o-ring is used on the inside and black o-ring on the outside of the wall of the vessel. The white o-ring will create a seal between the fittings large middle ledge and the inner wall of a vessel and the black o-ring will stop leaks occurring between the male thread of the fitting and the female thread of the ball valve, on the outside of the vessel.
No Teflon tap required to seal your kettle. If brewers prefer to use Teflon tap then it is only recommended for the male thread of the adapter that goes into the female thread of the inlet of the ball valve.
