Unitank RIMS Heating Package
At Cheeky Peak Brewery we do things properly hence we have created the new Unitank RIMS Heater.
The NANO-X 2.0 Unitank RIMS is specifically designed to heat glycol prior to entering a NANO-X 2.0 fermenter jacket. The Uni Tank RIMS can also be clamped to the exit of a NANO-X 2.0 Unitank Jacket as the Unitank RIMS can also be used to heat the glycol in a glycol unit. The Unitank RIMS can be fitted to a NANO-X 2.0 Unitank outer cooling, and now heating jacket, by using the supplied 1.5″ Tri Clamp and clamping the RIMS to the 1.5″ inlet or outlet ports for the NANO-X 2.0 Unitanks
The Unitank RIMS Heating package is designed to heat fermenting liquid in your NANO-X 2.0 Unitank of any capacity. The Unitank RIMS is specifically designed to fit to a NANO-X 2.0 Unitank but can easily be modified to suit other fermenters on the market.
Heating your Unitank using this device spreads heat across the entire Unitank giving more even heat across your fementing liquid. Other companies use a single element which is a much simpler and cost effective way but no where near as effective as the Unitank RIMS. Adding another item into the fermenter or Unitank creates more cleaning work, increases the chance of infection and has the potential to scorch the fermenting liquid. Additionally, a very low watt element is normally used making the temperature change slow and risky in terms of proper temp maintenance during fermentation.
To use operate the Unitank RIMS you will need a temperature controller and the most cost effective controller would be an Inkbird. If you already own a NANO Boss then it can be used to control the Unitank RIMS to perfection.
